Random Family Stuff
Our daughter, Caitlin Andrea Rowand, has plenty of pictures - we are proud parents after all. Check out her web page if you want to see all about her.
We have The Rowand Web Cam. It may or may not be working, but you can at least see what the last known picture was... (Update: It's been down forever and I never seem to have time to fix it.)
Also, I worked out a laptop donation from Microsoft to the hospital since we were over there so much during the pregnancy - check out the write up on the UWMC webpage. I also have it cached locally "just in case" because I think it was a pretty cool thing to do.
At one point we had pets. You can see pictures.
We rarely get snow, so when we do, we take pictures of it because it looks cool and we're having fun.
We get lots of rainbows up here, they're cool, so we take pictures.
Deb finally put a page up for her stuff - go check it out.
Occasionally, we manage to take a vacation or otherwise get away from the house for a few days and we like to take lots of photos to remind ourselves that there's more to life than work.
Even rarer than vacations, I sometimes get dressed up for something special.
Sometimes we get family photos taken and we get them in digital form so they can be posted here.
We had a lunar eclipse.
I decided to put up some personal historical pages to capture memories of interesting and important times gone by before we forget about them.
We have lots of stuff we do with friends.
Both of our boys have moved out of the house, and away from home. Jon is in Seoul, South Korea and Jason is in Key West, FL. Both are doing well, enjoying life, and still keeping in touch. They both even have MySpace pages - check out Jason's and Jon's if you'd like. (They're typical guys hanging out with friends, so prepare for slightly non-family friendly content if you visit their pages. It's pretty good, though the grandparents might freak a bit...) I guess my old-school website wasn't cool enough for them to add content to - oh well, I guess Mom and Dad are never terribly "cool"... :-)
The events of September 11, 2001 and the it's various cultural aftershocks caused us to want to show our true colors. I think you can get the idea - if not, you can go read more.
Both my wife and I do need to work to support my (our?) car habit, and are always on the lookout for better jobs in the Seattle, WA area. My chosen field of work is Configuration Management/Build and my wife's is Software Testing and/or Administrative Assistant work. Our resumes are online for your viewing pleasure in Word documents (Mike, Debbie (Software Testing), Debbie (Administrative Assistant)). Debbie is also available for free-lance data-entry and software testing work. If you think you could use either or both of our skills, stop reading this and send some email to Mike and/or Debbie to find out more.
